E-Stop Assemblies
Use this page to identify the most common DMEX emergency-stop assembly styles and the most likely field replacement path. This page is assembly-focused and does not publish internal BOM details.
EM01 — Standard Emergency Stop
Basic emergency shutdown assembly used in the field for remote emergency stop applications.
- Most common path: operator or contact issue
- Check for sticking operator, worn action, or damaged cover
- Replace full assembly if enclosure is damaged
EM01G — Guarded Emergency Stop
Guarded assembly used where extra protection around the emergency stop operator is desired.
- Most common path: guard interference or operator wear
- Check that the guard is not binding the operator
- Use full assembly replacement if the guard or enclosure is compromised
EM02 — Emergency Stop with Reset
Assembly that combines an emergency stop function with a reset device.
- Most common path: reset section not restoring normal operation
- Check both the stop side and reset side for mechanical or contact issues
- Use assembly replacement if function is inconsistent in the field
EM04C — Covered Emergency Stop Assembly
Covered emergency stop assembly used where accidental actuation protection is needed.
- Most common path: cover damage, hinge wear, or reset behavior
- Check cover movement and return-to-reset action
- Replace full assembly if the station body or backplate is compromised
Field Repair Strategy
Start with the failure mode you can see in the field, then move to the lowest-risk replacement path.
Operator Issue
Use this path when the button sticks, binds, will not actuate correctly, or does not reset cleanly.
Contact / Control Issue
Use this path when the assembly looks normal mechanically, but the shutdown or reset action is intermittent.
Full Assembly Replacement
Use this path when the enclosure, guard, cover, or mounting arrangement is physically damaged or incomplete.
